Advising Center Hours and Location

The Center is conveniently located on the first floor of the Bell Tower, Room 1595.   Advising Center hours are Monday - Thursday  8:30a.m. - 6:00p.m. and Friday  8:00 a.m. - 5:00p.m.  Please call (805) 437-8571 to schedule an appointment with an Academic Advisor. Scheduled appointments are highly recommended.   Walk-ins are subject to availability of advisor.  Please note - due to severe state budget cuts imposed upon the CSU, mandatory unpaid furlough days are in effect for our advising center. It is very important to plan ahead for an advising appointment.

Please note, the first and last two weeks of the semester are the busiest for your advisor.  Try to schedule longer appointments for the middle part of the semester.    Remember, the academic advising center is open during the summer as well.

When you show up for your appointment please have your student ID number available, as you will need it for the automated check-in system.  Staff members are readily available to guide you through the check-in process at the front counter computers.  As soon as you have checked in , the system promptly alerts the advisor of  your arrival to get you to your meeting on time.
