University Writing Center & Learning Resource Center
We are excited to bring you the services of our University Writing Center and Learning Resource Center. These centers are designed to provide you with the tools to improve your skills and make the most out of your learning experience here at California State University Channel Islands. Our process is collaborative — we work with you to encourage effective, independent learning, and to further your knowledge and understanding in a number of classes. To schedule an appointment, please call 437-8409, stop by the Broome Library, 2nd Floor, or email Writing Center with your request.
University Writing Center (UWC)– Broome Library, 2nd Floor Room 2360
The University Writing Center is open to talk with you about your writing -- whether it's a term paper, lab report, or employment letter. Our Writing Tutors are available to help with editing, organizing a paper, and improving your writing skills. They can assist you with any step in the writing process, from brainstorming to creating your final draft. Appointments are at least 30 minutes, and can be as long as an hour.

Learning Resource Center (LRC)– Broome Library, 2nd Floor Room 2760
The Learning Resource Center offers free tutoring for CI students in mathematics and other subjects. Please check with the LRC staff to find out if there is a tutor available for your class. Tutors at the LRC will help with skill review, homework comprehension, test preparation, and much more. Tutoring is available on a walk-in basis. We look forward to helping you!
