Professor of Business

Dr. William P. Cordeiro comes to Channel Islands from CSU Los Angeles where he was a Professor of Management in the College of Business & Economics. At CSU Los Angeles since 1987, Dr. Cordeiro developed courses on general management, strategic planning and management, and business ethics. He was coordinator of the Capstone Course on Global Strategic Management required of all graduates. He also played an active role developing the Master’s in Healthcare Management Program.

Dr. Cordeiro received his Ph.D. in Executive Management from the Peter F. Drucker Management School of the Claremont Graduate University in 1986. He also holds an M.B.A. from USC in Finance and a B.S. in Biology from the University of San Francisco.

Dr. Cordeiro worked in industry for 14 years before beginning his academic career. He has extensive consulting experience with both government and private clients. Projects have included work for City, County, State, and Federal organizations. Several recent assignments involved strategic planning in university environments: an athletic department, a performing arts center, two business schools, and university-wide strategic plans.
