Dr. Theodore D. Lucas Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs

A message from the newly appointed Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs will be available soon. 25 April 2003, Camarillo, CA -  Dr. Theodore D. Lucas was named Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs at California State University Channel Islands today, announced Richard R. Rush, president of the campus.

Dr. Lucas received his BA and MA degrees in music from San Diego State University, and his Doctorate in Music from the University of Illinois. A graduate of the Harvard Institute for Educational Management, he has had extensive experience designing academic programs in both public and private universities. General education, accreditation issues, community college articulation, and undergraduate curriculum design are his primary academic interests.

"I am delighted to announce that I have appointed Dr. Ted Lucas as Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs," said President Rush. "Dr. Lucas enjoys the respect and support of our entire campus community and has agreed to take on this responsibility until such time as a permanent Vice President is appointed. At that time, he will return to his current duties in the Office of the President."
