Current Known Issues - Browser Compatibility with Blackboard
Blackboard Service Pack 6 Updates
With the service pack update browser support has been improved to include support for Firefox 3.5, Internet Explorer 8, and Safari 4. Some of the improvements include:
- Firefox 3.5 users are now able to use the File Picker to upload files
- Internet Explorer 8 users are now able to submit timed tests in Blackboard
- Internet Explorer 8 users can now download an assignment that contains a space in the title for grading without receiving a 404 error
- Firefox 3.0 is not supported with Mac OS versions 10.3 or 10.6; however, it is compatible with OS versions 10.4 and 10.5
**Note: Firefox 3.6 is having problems with Blackboard tests and some other features. We recommend using a previous version of Firefoxas a substitute
