How to Copy a Quiz Between Course Sessions
If you teach a course with more than one section you may want to copy a quiz between the two or more sessions. The following steps will tell you how to do this.
- Within your course that already contains the quiz or test, click "Control Panel"
- Under Assessment, click "Test Manager"
- Next to the quiz or test that you want to copy, click "Export"
- You will see a dialogue asking you to save the file as a .zip file
- Save your file
- Navigate to the course that you want to copy the quiz or test to
- Navigate to the Test Manager as described in steps 1 and 2
- Click the "Import" button
- Click "Browse..." and locate the file you save previously then click "Open"
- Click "Submit" when you are done
- Once the quiz is imported, you need to deploy it so that students can actually take it
- Go back to the course's Control Panel
- Under Content Areas, click "Tests"
- Click the "Add Test" button
- Select the test from the list and click Submit
- Your quiz or test will now be available for students to take in your other course session
- Repeat the import and deploy steps for as many sessions as you need to; you do not need to export the test more than once
