How to Create Accessible Excel Spreadsheets Using Virtual508

To make your Excel spreadsheets accessible using Virtual508:

  • Go to File -> Save As Accessible Web Page...
  • You will receive a dialogue notifying you that you will need a product key to fully unlock the software unless you have already unlocked it
  • On the next dialogue, you may enter a product key if you have one, if not, click cancel to run the software in demo mode
    • If you click cancel and run the demo version, you will be notified of the restrictions that the demos has
  • Virtual508 will analyze the spreadsheet for data that is going to be converting, this process may take a few moments
  • Click Next >
  • Enter the document information in the appropriate fields then click Next >
  • On the next page you can change the background color of the document if you wish. When you're done with this step click Next >
  • Change the output settings to match your preferences. The default settings are acceptable if you wish to simply click Next >
  • Choose how you wish to save your file (save to disk, save to ZIP file, save to WebDAV directory)
  • Click "Change..." to select where your file will be saved
  • Navigate to where you want your file saved
  • Name your file then click Save
  • Click Next >
  • Check the box that says "Open web page when Wizard closes?"
  • Click Finish
  • You will be taken to your newly created accessible Excel spreadsheet in the formats that you specified previously
