Gradebook Overview
- Items that are automatically created in Blackboard Gradebook
- Any test, quiz or survey created using the Blackboard Test Manager
- Any assignment created using Assignment Tool

- You can create your own grading items to grade other course activities

- downloaded for a backup copy for your student grades

Managing Gradebook
- Add a new item/column to Gradebook
- Name the items
- Show/hide a column in Gradebook
Viewing students' grades

- Override grades
- The locker icon – submission failed, in progress ->; clear attempt
- The exclamation mark – items are waiting for manual grading
Downloading and uploading Gradebook
- Download the Gradebook
- Click Download Grades button
- Choose Tab-delimited files (.xls) and submit
- Blackboard Gradebook will be opened in Excel
- Save the file as .csv file at your local computer
- Click Download Grades button
- Upload the Gradebook: you may modify the grades locally and then upload them back
to Blackboard as .csv file
- In Blackboard GradeBook, click the Upload Grades
- Click Browse to locate the .csv file to upload
- Under ”Choose Uploaded Item”, click the radio button to choose the item you want to
upload
- Under “Choose Existing Item”, click the radio button to choose the destination for
the uploaded item
- Check the results in Blackboard Gradebook
- In Blackboard GradeBook, click the Upload Grades
