How to upload PowerPoint presentation into Blackboard from PC or Mac

  1. Save your PowerPoint presentation into webpage
    1. File-> save as webpage
    2. Click Publish button to a location in your computer, such as desktop ->  you will get one html file and a folder with the same name
  2. Create a single zip file for your PowerPoint presentation
    1. Create a new folder and named it (such as: my_presentation)-> drag and drop the html file the folder into my_presentation folder
    2. For window XP users, Right click on the folder -> Send To -> Compressed (zipped) Folder

    3. For Mac users, Control click or left click on the folder
      1. Now click Create Archive of “file name”
      2. A zip file should appear
    4. A my_presentation.zip file has been created
  3. Login to your Blackboard course and select Control Panel
    1. Select the location you’d like to upload your PowerPoint presentation under Content Areas
    2. Select Add Items
    3. Under Item Information, type in a Name for the document
    4. Under Attach local files, click browse button to locate the zipped PowerPoint file you just created on your computer, and then click Open
    5. Type a name in the box of Name of Link to File (This name should be the link that students will click on to view the presentation)
    6. In the Special Action drop down menu, choose the Unpackage this file.
    7. At the bottom of the screen, select Submit
    8. At Entry Point window, choose the file with the name of your presentation name. htm. For example, “presentation.htm”
    9. Click on the Submit button
