Ralph Jacobson is the Global Retail and Consumer Products Industries Marketing Executive for IBM.  Ralph holds responsibility for creating awareness, developing thought leadership and generating demand for IBM hardware, software and consulting services for this multi-billion-dollar IBM business.  In his career, Ralph has gained expertise in business functional areas that include business strategy, operations, supply chain, marketing and human resources.

Ralph has worked in the Retail and Consumer Products Industries for more than thirty-five years.  Prior to joining IBM in 2001, Ralph consulted to more than one-hundred clients around the globe, from Shanghai to Saudi Arabia with a large business consulting firm.  Originally Ralph began his professional career at the largest supermarket company in Chicago where he worked in store operations and marketing for seventeen years.  Ralph has served as the Chair for the Strategic Planning Committee for the Marilyn Magaram School of Food Science and Nutrition at California State University Northridge.  Ralph is active in numerous industry trade organizations globally and is often featured as a keynote speaker.

He is married with four children and resides with his wife, Marsha north of Los Angeles, California.
