FERPA

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law enacted in 1974 that guarantees the confidentiality of students' records, including education records, financial records and disciplinary records. In accordance with regulations contained within FERPA, CSUCI's Dean of Students office will disclose information pertaining to a student’s disciplinary file to designated parties, provided the Dean of Students office has signed consent from the student.
