How to Apply as an International Freshman
Application Form and Fee
Complete the Application for Undergraduate Admission. Download the form (PDF). Return the application to the Center for International Affairs, along with a check for the non-refundable $55 fee. Please make the check payable to California State University Channel Islands.
Please note that the Nursing Track I Program is closed for international students.
English Score
Submit the results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or other acceptable test (see below for list of tests). Scores must be sent directly to CSUCI from testing agency.
Acceptable English Placement Exams
- TOEFL – Test of English as a Foreign Language with a minimum Paper-Based score of 500, a minimum Computer Based score of 173 or a minimum Internet Based score of 61.
- IELTS – International English Language Test System with a minimum 5.5
- PTE – We will soon be accepting Pearsons Test of English
Affidavit of Financial Support and Bank Statement
Submit Affidavit of Financial Support and bank statement. The forms may be faxed to (805) 437-8951 or sent to international@csuci.edu.
