How to Apply as an International Freshman

Currently, CSU Channel Islands is not accepting international freshmen applications.

Application Form and Fee

Complete the Application for Undergraduate Admission. Download the form (PDF). Return the application to CSUCI, along with a check for the non-refundable $55 fee, by October 30, 2008.  Please make the check payable to California State University Channel Islands.

English Score

Submit the results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or other acceptable test (see below for list of tests).  Scores must be sent directly to CSUCI from testing agency.

Acceptable English Placement Exams

• TOEFL – Test of English as a Foreign Language with a minimum Paper-Based score of 500, a minimum Computer Based score of 173 or a minimum Internet Based score of 61.
• IELTS – International English Language Test System

Affidavit of Financial Support and Bank Statement

Submit Affidavit of Financial Support and bank statement.  The forms may be faxed to (805) 437-8951.

Official Transcript Report from Evaluation Company

Please do not fax the transcripts.  Please contact World Education Services at www.wes.org or International Education Research Foundation at www.ierf.org to have your records officially evaluated by one of the companies.
