Information for Graduates
Please pick up parking permits no later than May 15, 2017. Parking on campus is limited and will be subject to traffic control by Public Safety at the time of your arrival. As such, each degree candidate who requests Commencement parking is eligible to receive two (2) parking permits. Candidates may either use the permit(s) or provide them to family or friends, but each candidate will only receive two (2) parking permits for use at Commencement.
Commencement parking permits and maps will be available for pick-up at Public Safety located in Placer Hall, adjacent to the A-1 parking lot, on a first come, first served basis. Please planning accordingly and make sure to reserve your parking passes for Commencement ahead of time to ensure you have a parking spot.
On the day of Commencement, only those vehicles with a University-issued Commencement Parking Permit will be allowed to park on campus. Student parking permits, student housing parking permits, day permits and other regularly issued University parking permits are not valid for Commencement.
On-campus parking for Commencement includes the University’s parking lots adjacent to the main campus facilities. Please place the Commencement Parking Permit on your dashboard prior to arriving on the campus so parking staff can quickly and efficiently direct you to appropriate parking areas. Limited on-campus shuttles will be available to transport the elderly or guests who require disability accommodations.
Guests are also encouraged to utilize the free VISTA bus and Roadrunner shuttle transportation from the Camarillo Metrolink Station.
There are accessible parking areas designated for candidates and guests with disabilities available on a first-come, first-served basis. Candidates and guests who possess a Disabled Person(s) Parking Placard must display the placard upon entrance to the campus in conjunction with the Commencement Parking Permit on the day of Commencement in order to be directed to the designated parking areas.
Limited off-campus parking is available at the Camarillo Metrolink Station, located off of the Highway 101 and Lewis Road exit at the intersection of Ventura Boulevard and Lewis Road. The VISTA bus and Roadrunner shuttles will provide free trips to and from campus for guests who park at this location. Please arrive at the Metrolink Station early to ensure an on-time arrival to the ceremony.
Information for Faculty and Staff
Your existing parking permit will allow you access to park on campus while working and/or attending the ceremonies. Early arrival to campus is highly recommended in order to avoid heavy traffic. Please have your faculty parking permit visible on your dashboard so that parking attendants will allow you to pass through.
There are accessible parking areas designated for individuals with disabilities available on a first-come, first-served basis. A Disabled Person(s) Parking Placard must be displayed upon entrance to the campus on the day of Commencement in order to be directed to the designated parking areas.
Additional parking instructions will be provided to faculty by email by May 10, 2017.
