Dining Services

Cal State Channel Islands’ main dining services area, the Islands Café, is located at 71 University Drive in the South Quad.

Presented by Sodexo, our dining area offers a variety of contemporary menu formats for students, faculty, staff and campus visitors to choose from throughout the day.  Choices available include grilled items, deli sandwiches, Mexican and Italian food, sushi, and daily specials.  Grab-and-go sandwiches and salads, yogurt parfaits, fat free and low sugar puddings and desserts by the slice are packaged and ready to go as well.

Coming soon:  Additional dining opportunities will include coffee house service in the Broome Library and food service venues in the CSUCI University Glen Town Center.  More information will be posted as it becomes available.

Campus Community Meal Plan: “Dolphin Dollars”

(Note: This meal plan option does not apply to students living on campus. A different meal plan program is mandatory for students living in Anacapa and Santa Cruz Villages.  For more information, please see the section about Board Fees on the Housing Amenities and Fees page.)

The meal plan allows campus community members to deposit a balance on a “Dolphin Dollars” card that is used to purchase items in the Islands Café. The larger the deposit applied to the debit card, the greater the discount!. (See Discount Chart below.)  Additional deposits can be made to your meal plan account at any time. With “Dolphin Dollars” campus community members can even treat family and friends to a meal. When compared to other meal plans at various campuses, our plan provides the maximum benefit and great flexibility.

Please note that balances remaining on student Dolphin Dollar cards do not roll over to the next academic year and any balance remaining on the student’s meal card will be forfeited on May 31.
