Academic Highlights: Overview - Attend this session if you want an overview of all the majors currently being offered at CSU Channel Islands (CI).
Academic Highlights: Academic Advisement - Advising services will be introduced along with an explanation of how our advising model helps students progress towards a timely graduation.
Academic Highlights: Academic Programs - Join representatives from our academic programs as they provide information about what's new, unique, and exciting about their respective majors.Living on Campus: Advantages, Details, & Information - Come be a part of the CI neighborhood this fall by living on campus! This season will provide an overview of how to obtain housing, the advantages of living on campus, and what to expect once you move in. You'll also learn details regarding cost, payment deadlines, and the programs that are available to resident students.
Financial Aid & Scholarships: The Process at CI -This session will provide information about how to understand the financial aid process at CSU Channel Islands (CI).
University Marketplace - The University Marketplace provides opportunities for students and their families to visit with student leaders, interact with members of clubs and organizations, learn about available services as well as review academic programs with faculty and students. This is also an opportunity to submit Intent to Enroll forms and housing applications, and pay deposits and/or fees.

- Limited complimentary parking is available on campus. Signs will direct you toward check in. Courtesy shuttles are available at the Centerpoint Mall in Oxnard and Metrolink Station in Camarillo. Q: What is Discover CI?
A: Discover CI is an opportunity for students to get acquainted with the Channel Islands campus. Students have an opportunity to meet with University administrators, faculty and staff who will be a part of their experience at CI. Participants will also have an opportunity to attend a variety of workshops ranging from financial aid, housing, student life, and taking a campus tour.
Q: Will there be a lot of walking?
A: Yes, please bring comfortable shoes. Expect to be walking throughout your time here.
Q:Can I bring my parents and or relatives?
A: Yes, please bring anyone you would like to experience CI.
Q:Will there be food available to purchase?
A: Yes, please bring cash.
Q: Is this like an open house where I can come and go at any time?
A: No. This day is more structured and you will get more out of the event if you come for the opening message and stay through the available workshops.
Q: Do I have to be admitted to attend Discover CI?
A: No, but you do need to be an applicant for Fall 2014.
Q: If I am unsure of whether or not to attend CSU Channel Islands, should I still
A: Definitely. Discover CI is an opportunity for you to meet other students and to decide if CSU Channel Islands is the campus for you.
Q: Can I turn in my Intent to Enroll form at Discover CI?
A: Yes, you may turn in your Intent to Enroll form at the Student Business Services table. Only checks and money orders are accepted.
Q: If I can't attend this event is there another time I can visit CI?
A: Yes! CSU Channel Islands is always open for people to visit. Campus tours are offered Monday through Friday at 11:00 a.m. as well as the certain Saturdays at 12:00 p.m. (list of Saturday Tours are available on our website). Tours leave from the Recruitment office in the Sage Hall, Room 1020 (Enrollment Center). To find out more information about scheduling a tour, please visit the Campus Tour Website.
Q: Can I apply for Housing and submit housing deposits?
A: Yes! The Housing Application Fee ($50) and the Housing Deposit ($1,500) may be paid online via the student housing portal once it opens. Housing payments cannot be paid in cash at Discover CI; only e-checks (online bank transfers) and credit cards (American Express, Master Card, Discover Card, and Diners Club) can be accepted. Please note that an additional 2.9% merchant service fee will be charged when paying via credit card.
