CSU Channel Islands Welcomes You!

Parenting students through their transition to college and life away from home is an important process.  We want to help make this process a smooth one by providing information on our website that has been most frequently requested by both parents and students.

Whether your student is still in the process of choosing an institution or they’ve been a CI Dolphin for a few years now, we are grateful for your interest in CI and in our Housing and Residential Education programs.  We hope the information provided here will assist you in understanding and utilizing our services, and also in guiding your student through the process of applying for and obtaining on-campus housing.

We strongly encourage student involvement in the wide variety of activity and leadership opportunities on campus and within our program.  We have high hopes, expectations, and standards for our students at CI, and we work to create an environment which encourages student success.  We want every student to reach their potential and be effective community and global citizens.  Living in a residential community provides an excellent opportunity for students to grow and develop in these areas.

Our campus is committed to placing students at the center of their educational experience.  We work diligently in Housing and Residential Education to ensure that our policies and practices are student-centered.  Your student will be more than a number when they come to CI. When they live on campus, we are committed to personal attention and assistance.  Please let us know how we may assist you in selecting CI or securing living accommodations on campus.
