Risk Management
Risk Management is a function that allows the University to conduct its activities in a manner that does not impose an unreasonable risk of loss or injury.
Many University activities involve risks and thus require planning and procedures to manage those risks. Risk Management is a joint responsibility of the Environment, Safety and Risk Management office and all employees, especially managers.
The role of the Office of Environment, Safety and Risk Management is that of consultation and service. The Office develops specific procedures and guidelines for many activities. In addition, the office provides assistance to Campus entities in identification and evaluation of risks, selection of risk control and risk financing techniques, evaluation of the results and program improvement.
