The Idea to Impact student challenge is open to all Ventura County students in grades 6-12 and engages student teams in a collaborative project focused on real-world issues related to energy and the environment. Working with an educator mentor, the teams develop their project while engaging in meaningful and relevant learning experiences. Leadership skills are developed as students use science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM fields) integrated with the arts to make a difference in their communities as they move their innovative solutions from idea to impact! The Idea to Impact student challenge represents a partnership between California State University Channel Islands, Oak Park School District, Oxnard School District, and community business partners.
