The Idea to Impact student challenge is open to all Ventura County students in grades 6-12 and engages student teams in a collaborative project focused on real-world issues related to energy and the environment. In Fall 2015, the program will be implemented through the Ventura County Water Innovation Game conducted in partnership with NorthernRift and Alcoa Foundation.
Working with an educator mentor, middle and high school teams will play a student version of the Water Innovation Game in Spring 2016. As part of this game, students will develop a project related to water while engaging in meaningful and relevant learning experiences. The Idea to Impact student challenge represents a partnership between California State University Channel Islands, Oak Park School District, Oxnard School District, NorthernRift, Alcoa Foundation, and community business partners.
