What are the types of CSUIP programs?

  • Full Immersion English-Taught Programs - Students take courses fully taught in English while being immersed in a new academic environment.
  • Language & Culture Programs - Students spend majority of time abroad in language and culture acquisition courses. Students may also take 1-2 courses taught in English in their major/minor. Students can earn GE credit.
  • Full Immersion Local Language Programs - Students take coursework in various subjects taught in the local language. Language proficiency (4+ semesters of language) or native proficiency is required.
  • Study Center Program - Students attend the CSU Florence Center campus with other CSU study abroad students.

How long can you go?

  • Semester Only - Programs are offered for one semester only (Fall or Spring).
  • Academic Year (AY) - Programs follow the academic calendar. Students begin in fall and end after the spring term. Most programs are AY programs.
  • Calendar Year (CY)- Programs follow the calendar year. Students begin in January/February and study for the duration of the year. CY programs include those in Australia, Chile, and South Africa.

What are the deadlines to apply?

  • September 15 - Priority deadline for Spring Semester and Calendar Year programs.
  • February 15 - Priority deadline for Fall Semester and Academic Year programs.
