Overview: PSB Short-Term Program

For the summer program, students have the option to choose one of the following courses completely taught in English:

  • Option 1: Luxury Brand Management, 3 CSU units - Learn how to develop management skills
    for a fashion business plan, analyze a competitor’s scenario, understand the luxury brand’s structure and develop selling capacity.

  • Option 2: Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Business, 3 CSU units - Learn how to create business intelligence through application and visualization and learn how to develop AI business projects.

  • Option 3: FinTech (Financial Technology), 3 CSU units - Gain a deeper understanding and knowledge about Financial Technology and build a financial application.

PSB's Summer School consists of 28 hours of lectures and workshops which are taught over two weeks. It is also composed of 4 extra hours of Action Learning during which students will be able to put their acquired knowledge into practice by working on a real life and cross-boundary project. In addition, there will be 18 hours of activities and cultural visits in and around Paris that expose students to Parisian culture and history.

Eligibility

  1. Sophomore, junior, or senior standing
  2. One year of undergraduate studies in any major
  3. Current CSUCI student at time of application
  4. In good academic standing

Application: Two-Step Process

  1. Complete the CSUCI Short-Term Study Abroad: Direct-Enroll Application.
  2. After completing Step 1, a link will be provided to applicants to apply direct to PSB. 

Cost

The program cost is approximately $2,850 which includes:

  • Tuition for one 3-unit course
  • Accommodation in student residence
  • Breakfast and lunch on weekdays
  • All activities and cultural visits
  • Farewell party
  • 2-week Paris transportation pass

The fee does not include roundtrip flight, evening and weekend meals, recreational travel, travel to/from airport, health insurance (approx. $75), and personal expenses.

Housing

Housing in student residences is included as part of the program costs.

Location

Paris, France's capital, is a major European city and global center for art fashion, gastronomy, and culture. Its 19th century cityscape is crisscrossed by wide boulevards and the River Seine. Beyond such landmarks as the Eiffel Tower, the city is known for its cafe culture and designer boutiques along the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.
