Overview
Information Technology is comprised of two departments:
Information Management
Information Management provides leadership and service in the areas of:
- Common management systems (CMS) via a Peoplesoft ERP solution
- CMS programming and reporting
- Web services - web site design, development, hosting and training
- Network services - Internet access and support networking infrastructure
- Telecommunications - phone support (analog and Voice-over-IP), telephone moves and telecom infrastructure management
Information Technology Services (ITS)
ITS Mission Statement
The Information Technology Services department supports the mission of the University by providing reliable and effective technology resources. We are dedicated to facilitating the efficient use of technology in higher education for both academic and administrative venues. IT Services works diligently to deliver the highest quality of technical support while practicing responsible stewardship of technology resources for the students, faculty, and staff at California State University Channel Islands.
Information Technology Services supports CSUCI via the following services:
- Help Desk - primary point-of-contact for all technology support issues
- Desktop Computing - computer hardware and software installation, support and troubleshooting
- PDA Support
- Computer Labs
- Classroom Technology - projector, audio system, SmartPanel
- New Employee Set-up
- Computer Moves
- Purchasing
- Software
- Printer and Copier Support
