Information for CSUCI Organizations

What technology resources are available to guests of my organization?

Campus guests may be granted privileges to access technology resources including:

  • Access to computers and the Internet in the Library and campus computer labs
  • Wireless Internet access

Access to other systems will be granted at the discretion of the hosting organization and Information Technology.

How do I request access for guests?

Please submit your request via email to the Help Desk at helpdesk@csuci.edu, or call 805-437-8552.

You will need to provide the following information to process your request:

  • Number of guests
  • Name of Hosting Organization
  • Name and Date of Hosted Event
  • List of systems to which access is required
  • Duration of guest access for each system

How far in advance should I make my access request?

Requests for guest access must be submitted to the Help Desk at least 5 business days in advance of the event start date.

How do I get wireless access?

Please visit the Wireless Access web page. Your wireless user name and password will be provided to you by the host organization at CSUCI.

What is my user name and password to access a specific system or service?

Your user name and password and logon instructions will be provided to you by the host organization.
