Student Password Reset Information
CHANGE YOUR DOLPHIN PASSWORD BEFORE APRIL 20TH, 2010 OR YOU WON’T BE ABLE TO LOG ONTO A CAMPUS COMPUTER, OR myCI.
- Student password will now have expiration dates (200 days from last reset).
- ALL PASSWORDS THAT DO NOT CURRENTLY MEET THE FOLLOWING COMPLEXITY RULES AND HAVE NOT BEEN CHANGED IN THE LAST 200 DAYS WILL EXPIRE ON APRIL 20th.
- Password resets will need to be created based on the following security rules:
- Not contain the user's account name or parts of the user's full name that exceed two consecutive characters
- Be at least eight characters in length
- Contain characters from three of the following four categories:
- English uppercase characters (A through Z)
- English lowercase characters (a through z)
- Base 10 digits (0 through 9)
- Non-alphabetic characters (for example, !, $, #, %)
- Complexity requirements are enforced when passwords are changed or created.
- Passwords can only be changed in myCI.
AS OF MARCH 22ND ALL STUDENT PASSWORDS CAN ONLY BE CHANGED BY USING THE RESET PASSWORD FEATURE IN myCI. Passwords can no longer be changed when logging into a university computer.
