Rules for Applying Styles

Do apply styles in descending numerical order

• For example, Heading 1 (H1), then Heading 2 (H2)

Don’t skip styles

• Do not apply Heading 1 (H1) and then Heading 3 (H3).

Once you have used a particular style, you may return to using that same style

• Example:
  H1, then H2, then H2, then H1, then H2, then H3
