Day of Silence and Break the Silence 2012
The National Day of Silence brings attention to anti-LGBT name-calling, bullying and harassment. CI joined hundreds of thousands of students coming together in silence across the country to encourage schools and classmates to address the problem of anti-LGBT behavior. CI broke their silence with an inspiring keynote speech from Ms. Abby Dees, open mic, and community and CI resource fair.
Ms. Abby Dees is a Los Angeles-based civil rights attorney, the author of Queer Questions Straight Talk, speaker, and syndicated columnist.
