CI honored Dr. King with this unique presentation of his most famous speeches performed by Mr. Steven Loewenstein. Mr. Loewenstein seeks through his performance to educate others about Dr. King’s role in the civil rights movement, to acknowledge and praise those who participated in and lived through that era, and to bring honor to the dreamer and his dream. Usawa Student Union members paid tribute through theatrical monologue to other important African-American leaders who inspired and worked alongside Dr. King in his fight for equality.  To begin the evening, Bethel AME Church of Oxnard performed an uplifting array of gospel music.
