Judy Swanson gives hands on instruction to students

During July and August, the University Library and the Oxnard Library partnered to present digital training classes to local junior high and high school students. Above, Judy Swanson, director of Digital Services for the University Library, gives hands-on lessons on such exciting projects as recreating movie posters and creating new trailers with new soundtracks. Assisting Swanson were Tom Emens, multimedia specialist, and Melissa Vandeburgt and Ben Hipple, multimedia consultants, as well as staff from the Oxnard Library. The students also developed a small Web site featuring their new skills. The project can be viewed at http://www.library.csuci.edu/teens/2006.
