Art exhibition at CSUCI

The California State University Channel Islands Art Program opened its new art gallery, CSUCI Exhibitions this spring. The CSUCI Exhibitions gallery features a series of exhibitions by CSUCI students and faculty. The gallery is a partnership between the CSUCI Art Program and Dr. Michael Czubiak, who has provided and renovated the gallery space in his Camarillo building. “Summer Light” is on display now through Aug. 30. It is an exhibition featuring recent paintings by a group of CSUCI students whose artwork celebrates the common attitude and uplifting theme of the summer season: color, light, and warmth. The first works to be showcased at the gallery were exhibitions titled “New Perspectives” and “Diverse Explorations,” which included works by CSUCI students and faculty, respectively. The gallery is located at 92 Palm Drive in “Old Town” Camarillo. Regular gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday. For more information about the gallery contact Jack Reilly, CSUCI Art Program Chair, 805-437-8863 or email art@csuci.edu.
