New Student, Orientation and Transition Programs (NSOTP) supports University recruitment and retention initiatives by coordinating events, activities and services that integrate new students holistically (socially and academically) into the CI community. NSOTP consists of two programmatic elements: Island View Orientation and Transition Programs.
Island View Orientation
Island View Orientation is a comprehensive introduction to the University that prepares new students by providing information on academic and social resources.
Orientation is an exciting time on any college campus and serving on the O-Staff is a unique and rewarding opportunity.

On-campus Posting
Want to have your flyers posted on campus? Bring up to 20 copies of your flyer along with the completed Request for Approval to Post Materials form (PDF, 106KB).
Flyer must include the following in order to be accepted:
- The title of the event
- A brief description of the event
- Event location
- Contact information
Please note that events must be University related. For other inquiries please contact NSOTP at (805) 437-3160.
Posting occurs every Tuesday and Thursday. Please allow 24 hours processing time to have your materials posted.
