Letter from the Associate Director
Dear Prospective O-Staff Team Member:
Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the 2013 CI orientation staff (O-Staff). Orientation is an exciting time on any college campus and serving on the O-Staff is a unique and rewarding opportunity.
Orientation is the first introduction an entering student has to his/her new collegiate life. It plays a critical role in the transition process and can dramatically impact a student’s college career through engagement, involvement and excitement. The O-Staff experience facilitates this introduction. As you will hear from previous O-Staff, being a part of the O-Staff team is an experience full of growth, learning and fun. We look forward to getting to know you and working together to make the class of 2017’s introduction to our great University an enjoyable and engaging experience.

Orientation Staff Hiring and Recruitment Process
Interested in joining the 2013-2014 orientation staff? Please review the following information carefully and become familiar with the position you are interested in before applying.
As an initial component of the application process, candidates will be required to submit an application and will then be scheduled for two separate interviews: an individual interview and a group interview. Individual and group interviews will take place on Friday, November 30. Initial position announcements** will be made as soon as Monday, December 10, 2012. Final offer letters will be distributed after fall semester grades have been posted.
Application Procedure
Thoroughly read all of the information pertaining to the position you are interested in applying for. Three types of positions are available:
- New Orientation Leader
- Returning Orientation Leader
- Senior Orientation Leader

New Orientation Leaders
All materials (application, unofficial transcript and current résumé) must be submitted by 5:00 p.m., Friday, November 16, 2012.
New OL Selection Process Timeline*

Please note that all returning OLs will be required to attend the interview process for new OL hiring to occur on November 30, 2012.

**Initial offers are contingent upon the candidate demonstrating the following: satisfactory grades after Fall 2012 grades have been posted; active participation in training; and commitment to the team.
