I have registered for orientation but have decided not to attend; can I receive a refund?
Unfortunately all orientation fees are completely non-refundable.
I can only attend a specific orientation session. How do I specify this on the reservation form?At the beginning of the online reservation form you will need to select your preferred date. The reservation system will indicate when dates are full. Remember, dates are filled on a first-come, first-served basis so it is possible that you will not receive your first choice. However, we will do our best to accommodate any special needs considering our space limitations. Please contact New Student, Orientation and Transition Programs with your concerns at firstname.lastname@example.org or (805) 437-3160 after you have registered for orientation.
What is the deadline for registering for orientation? All reservations for freshman Island View Orientation must be made by May 20, 2011.
What happens if I do not register for orientation by the deadline?Students who do not sign up and pay for orientation by May 20, 2011, will be wait-listed by the Admissions office. Students on the wait list will be allowed to register for orientation and enroll at the University on a space available basis.

How will I know if I get the date I requested? If you pay online with a credit card you will be able to secure a space immediately on the online reservation form. Individuals who pay by check (see below) will receive an email confirmation containing the date for which they have been registered after we have received and processed the reservation form and payment. It may take up to two weeks to receive this email confirmation.
May I pay with a credit card?Yes, you may pay with a credit card in the payment section of the online reservation form. This will secure your space immediately!
May I pay with a check? We highly recommend paying with a credit card; a check payment will cause your orientation registration to be delayed. Individuals that wish to secure a space in Island View Orientation immediately should complete the online reservation form and pay with a credit card.
If you are unable to pay with a credit card, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will provide you with the alternate reservation process.
