Reservation and Fee Questions

How do I reserve a space in orientation?  

You may reserve a space for transfer orientation online at www.regonline.com/2009_CSUCI_TRANSFER_ORIENTATION.

What is the deadline for registering for orientation?

Please register for transfer orientation by Monday, August 10, 2009.

May I pay with a credit card?

Yes, you may pay with a credit card in the payment section of the online reservation form.  This will secure your space immediately!

May I pay with a check?

We highly recommend paying with a credit card; a check payment will cause your orientation registration to be delayed.  Individuals that wish to secure a space in Island View Orientation immediately should complete the online reservation form and pay with a credit card.

If you are unable to pay with a credit card, please send an email to orientation@csuci.edu and we will provide you with the alternate reservation form. 

Do my guests have to register for orientation and pay the fee?

Any guest who is attending orientation with students must pay the required guest fee ($35 for transfer guests). 

 
General Orientation Questions

Is orientation required?  

Orientation is highly recommended for incoming transfer students.

May I buy my parking permit, ID card, and books and pay class registration fees at orientation?

Yes.  

Will I register for classes at Island View Orientation?

Transfer students register during advising workshops, not during orientation.  Information regarding advising workshops can be found on the Academic Advising web page or by calling Academic Advising at (805) 437-8571.

Does financial aid cover the orientation fees?

Orientation fees are not paid by financial aid.

What time is check-in?

Transfer orientation check-in begins at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 14 at Aliso Hall Plaza.

What time will transfer orientation end?

Transfer orientation will end at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Where is check-in?

Students should check-in at  Aliso Hall Plaza for transfer orientation. Directional signage will be provided on campus for your guidance.

Where do I park and do I need a permit?

Parking lots will be clearly marked when you arrive to campus; you will not need a permit.

I have registered for transfer orientation but have decided not to attend; can I receive a refund?

Unfortunately all orientation fees are completely non-refundable.
