The Student Service Summit’s primary focus is to aide student success by assisting incoming first year and transfer students with a successful social and academic transition, while networking with peers in a purposeful and unified way. Students learn the value of community engagement by connecting to the University mission. It is a great opportunity to jump-start any volunteer hours required of student organizations, programs or course work, as well as enhance your resume.
“Students reported feeling a stronger sense of belonging to the CI community as a result of the Student Service Summit. Transfer and freshman students not only learn about the University mission but live it at the same time and experience what we call the CI Way. We hope to see the event take hold and grow over the years as a strong service-oriented tradition.” -Kirsten Moss, Associate Director of Access, Orientation and Transition Programs
