About ORSP

Introduction

ORSP is the pre-award research and sponsored programs unit within Academic Affairs that provides campus-wide support for all grants, contracts and research with human subjects applications.  ORSP supports research, scholarly and creative activity to secure local, state and federal governmental and non-governmental funds that move the institution towards its strategic goals.  ORSP assures that requirements for submitting grants with systemwide, state and federal regulations are met and handles the Proposal Administrative Review (PAR) process which is required for approval of all grants and contracts at CSUCI. The first step of the PAR process is for all principal investigators to complete and submit an Intent to Apply form. 

Additionally, ORSP supports the Institutional Review Board (IRB) with submissions of research proposals. Faculty, staff and students interested in pursuing research or submitting a grant that will fund research will need to submit an IRB Application.
