Citation Appeal FAQ's
(First-Level Ticket Appeal Process)
How do I dispute my ticket?
You may dispute your ticket by going to the Parking Management Bureau website at www.PMBonline.org. Click on the Dispute Ticket button and enter your ticket number or your license
plate. Your ticket(s) will appear in a list at the bottom of the screen. Click on
the Dispute button next to your ticket number to fill out and submit an electronic
Citation Appeal Form.
How will I be notified of the determination?
You will be notified of the determination via email. The message will be sent to
the email address you used when you first disputed your ticket.
How long do I have to dispute my ticket?
You have 21 days from the date the ticket was issued or 14 days from the date the
reminder notice was mailed.
The website only gives me the option to pay my ticket, not dispute, why?
You have gone beyond the dates specified within the time guidelines and have waived
your right to dispute the ticket. The website now only gives you the option to pay
your ticket. If the dispute option does not appear and you are within the time guidelines,
contact PMB at 1-800-700-4417.
I am unhappy with the determination of my Citation Appeal, how do I further dispute
my ticket?
The email you were sent to notify you of the results includes a link to an Administrative
Hearing Form. Fill in and print the form and mail to the address on the form, or
bring it to Police and Parking Services Customer Service in Placer Hall to request
an Administrative Hearing review.
Can I pay and then dispute my ticket?
No. If you pay your ticket, you have waived your right to dispute it. While disputing
a ticket, it is placed on a temporary hold and the amount will not increase during
this time. Once a determination is made at any level of the review process, the time
clock will continue and the amount will increase.
