STEM Tutoring

The STEM Center offers free, drop-in tutoring for all gateway STEM courses. We also support upper division STEM courses as tutors are able: check the "By Subject" schedule for availability.

  • The STEM Center opens the second week of classes.
  • The STEM Center is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
  • STEM Tutors are available 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday – Thursday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday & Saturday.

Peer-Led Team Learning Workshops

We are continuing the successful PLTL Workshops for the following STEM Gateway courses: BIOL 203, CHEM 121, CHEM 122, CHEM 250, CHEM 311, CHEM 314, COMP 150, COMP 151 (PreLab), COMP 162, MATH 150, MATH 151, MATH 230, and PHYS 101/201.

For all students

El Dorado Hall and the STEM Center are great places to study, meet with study groups, etc. There are copious whiteboards, computers, and furniture that can be configured in a variety of ways. ELD and the STEM Center are open 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.

Even for faculty...

Feel free to schedule office hours, special events, review sessions, and the like. No reservations are needed to meet students in the STEM Center, the multipurpose area, or the kitchen. To request a room, select El Dorado Hall in the CI Events Calendar reservation system.

*STEM means "Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics."
