What is Articulation?
Articulation agreements, sometimes referred to as transfer course agreements, are the official course equivalencies between colleges or universities from which you plan to transfer and CSU Channel Islands. Taking courses at other colleges or universities that are articulated with courses at CSU Channel Islands ensures that you are taking the right courses. Articulation agreements can be found on ASSIST.
Please Note: Articulation agreements may not exist for every institution or course. If one does not exist, you may need to submit a course substitution request to receive the desired CSU Channel Islands credit.
How to use ASSIST
Assist can be used in two ways
- Find community college courses that will satisfy specific subject matter requirements for admissions, general education, or lower division major requirements to a UC or CSU campus.
- EXPLORE MAJORS at UC and CSU campuses.
Example: Using ASSIST
To transfer to CSU Channel Islands as a Business major, you need to complete general education requirements, lower division major requirements, and a minimum of 60 CSU transferable units.
ASSIST can be utilized to help you find the courses you need to complete the lower division major requirements for Business at CSU Channel Islands.
Note: It is important to know that you must modify your search according to the campus you are transferring from and the campus that you hope to transfer to. For example, if you want to apply to CSU Channel Islands and CSU Northridge, you would have to modify your search to access the major requirements for each particular campus.
Please note that this is just an example. This is not the complete list of major preparation courses for business at CSU Chanel Islands.
