Student Volunteers

Purpose of Leaders in Education Awareness Program:

To assist the University Outreach Program in motivating and informing K-8 students about postsecondary education through the Pathway to College early outreach campus visits.

Requirements and Expectations for LEAP:

  1. All student volunteers must attend outreach student leadership training prior to participating and representing CSUCI through any University Outreach Programs.
  2. Students are to uphold a professional decorum at all times throughout their roles as outreach volunteers.  The student code of conduct is in the Student Guidebook is applicable and required for all volunteers at all times.
  3. Students are required to abide by the Outreach Volunteer Dress Code which includes outreach t-shirts provided by pathway to College, and slacks that can be black or khaki.  Attire such as jeans or provocative and revealing clothing will not be permitted.
  4. The general expectations of the volunteers include: 
  • Ability to represent CSUCI and University Outreach Programs in a professional manner
  • Timeliness
  • Courtesy
  • School Spirited

University Outreach encourages you to be a part of L.E.A.P (Leaders in Education Awareness Program).  This is a great opportunity for you to demonstrate your leadership potential and give back to the children and the community by sharing your success and journey as a college student.  You will set examples that will inspire and change the lives of many young people.

 

Campus visits occur regularly every Friday during session.
