Emergency Contraceptive (EC) or "Plan B" can be purchased over-the-counter at any pharmacy, and is no longer covered by Family PACT.
EC can be used to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sexual relations.
While it is most effective if used within 72 hours, EC may still reduce the chance of pregnancy for up to five days after unprotected intercourse.
Prescriptions for EC are available at Student Health Services for individuals with private insurance.
