Student Organization Officer Orientation

The Student Organization Officer Orientations are held at the beginning of the fall semester, and all Presidents and Treasurers are required to attend in order for student organizations to complete the recognition process.  

Fall 2016 Officer orientations will be held:

  • Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. (Sports Clubs & Non-Sports Clubs)
  • Friday, September 9, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.  (Non-Sports Clubs only)
  • Friday, September 23, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.  (Non-Sports Clubs only)
  • Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.  (Sports Clubs & Non-Sports Clubs)

Student Organization Integrity Workshop 

All Student Organization Officers must complete the online Student Organization Integrity Workshop.  This workshop must be submitted the fourth Friday of the Fall semester or no later than 10 business days after the officer assumes his/her position (in the event of an officer change).  Upon completing the workshop, officers must complete the 'Student Organization Integrity Workshop Quiz' available within CI Sync, and must pass with an 80% or higher to receive credit.

Advisor Orientation 

All Student Organization Advisors must complete a Student Organization Advisor Orientation. New advisors must attend an in-person orientation with the Coordinator of Student Organizations & Involvement, and returning advisors must view the online Returning Advisor Orientation.  The Advisor Orientation must be completed by the registration deadline, or no later than 10 business days after the advisor assumes his/her position (in the event of an advisor change).

Student Organization Cash Handling Training Workshop

All student organizations (SO) should have a secure plan for cash and check handling related to student organization business and fundraising.  Before handling cash, student organization members and officers must view the ‘SO Cash Handling Training’ online, and pass the related 5-question quiz in CI Sync (SO Cash Handling Quiz).
