A Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 28 at The Hub. Students will have the opportunity for personal expression by creating t-shirts, followed by a peace walk, then a rally in the North Quad to include speakers Dr. Wm. Gregory Sawyer, Vice President for Student Affairs at CSUCI; CI students Jeremy Booker and Jeffrey Alexander presenting the “We are the Dream” speech; and keynote speaker Toni Humber of Cal Poly Pomona. A reception will conclude the event at 5 p.m. in The Hub. The event is open to the campus community.
