
The Commencement ceremony at CSU Channel Islands is a candidate’s ceremony and not a degree conferral ceremony. Participation in the ceremony does not guarantee degree certification. Candidates who are denied will receive notification by mail from the Records and Registration office. Denied candidates are required to reapply for graduation for the term in which all degree requirements are met. More information about the Commencement ceremony will be posted at a later date. Additionally, eligible degree candidates will receive a Commencement Candidate and Guest Information booklet in the mail early in the Spring 2010 semester.

Degree candidates who plan to participate in this year's Commencement ceremony (May 15, 2010) are strongly encouraged to attend the CI Grad Fest and Career Fair*, April 14 and 15, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. or 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the Broome Library Plaza (*please note that the Career Fair portion of the event will be held on April 15 only, from 10:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.). A multitude of services and information will be available in one convenient location to assist degree candidates as they prepare for the ceremony.
