CSUCI Rideshare Week: Oct. 6 to 10

The CSUCI campus will celebrate California Rideshare Week, a statewide campaign, to encourage commuters to try an alternative form of transportation to and from campus.  Rideshare Week begins Monday, Oct. 6 and ends Friday, Oct. 10. Police and Parking Services encourages everyone on campus to make a pledge to try an alternative method of transportation for his or her commute to CSUCI at least one day during Rideshare Week.

The events scheduled for Rideshare Week are as follows:

Monday, October 6
Celebrating/Theme: Ride Green: Vista Bus and Train
Where: San Luis Bus Stop (next to Sage Hall)
Time: 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Tuesday, October 7
Celebrating/Theme: Vanpools: Are They For You?
Where: Bell Tower Mall
Time: 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Guest: A Ventura County Transportation Commission representative will assist you in creating your own vanpool. (Time: 12 p.m. to 1p.m.)

Wednesday, October 8
Celebrating/Theme: Personal Power: Walking/Biking and All Other
Where: Bell Tower Mall
Time: 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Guest: Ventura County Air Pollution Control District

Thursday, October 9
Celebrating/Theme: Our Carpooling Campus
Drive in to Lot A-1 and get information about creating your own carpool!
Where: A – 1 Lot (in front of Placer Hall)
Time: 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.
