CSU Channel Islands Commencement

Commencement Ceremony - Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 9:00 a.m.

The Commencement Ceremony at Cal State Channel Islands is a candidate’s ceremony and not a degree conferral ceremony. Participation in the ceremony does not guarantee degree certification. Candidates who are denied will receive notification by mail from the Records and Registration office. Denied candidates are required to reapply for graduation for the term in which all degree requirements are met. More information about the Commencement ceremony will be posted at a later date. Additionally, eligible degree candidates will receive a Commencement Candidate and Guest Information booklet in the mail by the spring 2009 semester.

CSUCI Grad Fest 2009

Degree Candidates who plan to participate in this year's Commencement ceremony (May, 16, 2009) are encouraged to attend the CSUCI Grad Fest event where a multitude of services and information will be available in one convenient location.  Grad Fest 2009 will provide a one-stop shop for degree candidates to: 

• Confirm eligibility to participate in the Commencement ceremony;
• Complete the online Application to Participate process;
• Arrange for disability accommodations;
• Take senior portraits;
• Purchase caps/gowns/tassels;
• Order announcements;
• Order school rings;
• Purchase diploma frames;
• Research career and graduate school opportunities;
• Join the CSUCI Alumni & Friends Association;
• Find out about parking and transportation services and processes for Commencement....and much more!
