CSU Channel Islands wants to ease your worries and assist you with applying to CSUCI. The college admissions process can be a stressful time for students and their families. With deadlines, admissions requirements, the application process, and what to do next, it can be overwhelming.

High School Senior Day is designed for students and their families to be able to do the following:

  • Learn about CSUCI’s admissions and application process
  • Learn about key dates necessary for the enrollment process
  • Get a jump start learning about the Financial Aid Process
  • Learn about the Educational Opportunity Program, a support system for first generation college students
  • Visit with representatives from on-campus departments such as Housing, Financial Aid, Admissions & Recruitment during the information fair
  • Take a campus tour

Bonus for students: Meet with CSU Admissions Staff to obtain assistance in completing the CSU application online. (This session is two hours and requires reservations.)

FAQs

Q:  What is High School Senior Day?
A:  Ventura County High School Senior Day is an opportunity for local area high school students to get acquainted with the Channel Islands campus.  Students will learn about CSUCI’s admission and application process and how to complete the CSU online application. Students can tour the campus and visit with on campus departments.

Q:  Will someone help me with questions I have about applying?
A:  Definitely.  Students can sign up for a 2 hour application workshop where one of our CSUCI representatives will be able to assist you in completing your application.

Q: If I have already applied to CSUCI, can I submit my transcripts and test scores?
A:  Yes, you may turn in your transcripts and test scores to the Admissions & Recruitment table located in the information fair.

Q:  If I can’t attend this event is there another time I can visit CSUCI?
A:  Yes!  CSU Channel Islands is always open for people to visit.  Campus tours are offered Monday through Friday at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. as well as the first Saturday of every month at 12:00 p.m.  Tours leave from the Recruitment office in Sage Hall, Room 1044.
