About Records and Registration

The Records and Registration office maintains timely and accurate records on enrollment, and the academic progress and accomplishments of its students, while maintaining the privacy and security of those records. All updates and changes to a student’s academic record are processed through the Records and Registration office. Many of the forms needed to facilitate these processes are available in the Records and Registration Forms Library.

Intrasystem Enrollment Program

Students enrolled at any CSU campus will have access to courses at other CSU campuses on a space available basis unless those campuses or programs are impacted. This access is offered without students being required to be admitted formally to the host campus and sometimes without paying additional fees. Although courses taken on any CSU campus will transfer to the student’s home CSU campus as at least elective credit, students should consult their home campus academic advisors to determine how such courses may apply to their degree programs before enrolling at the host campus.  All applications for participation in the Intrasystem Concurrent or Visitor programs are usually due four (4) weeks before the first day of the start of the term, but deadlines may differ by campus. Please note: Specific eligiblity requirements and enrollment conditions must be met in order to participate in the program. Refer to the application form for more details. Financial aid recipients must speak to their financial aid advisor prior to enrollement. Official transcripts must be sent to the home campus at the end of the term.

  • Intrasystem Visitor Enrollment

Matriculated students in good standing enrolled at one CSU campus may enroll at another CSU campus for one term. Credit earned at the host campus is reported at the student’s request to the home campus to be included on the student’s transcript at the home campus.

  • Intrasystem Concurrent Enrollment

Matriculated students in good standing may enroll at both their home CSU campus and a host CSU campus during the same term.  Credit earned at the host campus is reported at the student’s request to the home campus to be included on the student’s transcript at the home campus.

Veterans Affairs

Students who are eligible for benefits as a veteran, dependent, or reservist should contact our V.A. Specialist in the Enrollment Center. Services available include assistance in applying for educational benefits and education certification. Students planning to attend CSU Channel Islands should contact their local Veterans Services office or the regional Veterans Affairs office at www.gibill.va.gov. Once approved by the local or regional V.A. office, students who are registered in classes at CSU Channel Islands must make an appointment to complete their certification paperwork. This paperwork must be completed each semester. For additional information, please contact the Enrollment Center.

Residency Information

Every student attending California State University must have their residence status classified for tuition purposes. The residence status of all new and returning students is determined based on information provided in the Application for Admission, CSU Residence Questionnaire, Residence Reclassification Request form, and as necessary, other evidence furnished by the student.
