- Credit Rationale: This credit recognizes institutions that do not print course catalogs, class schedules, and directories, but instead make these materials available online.
- Environmental Benefits: This credit is a reminder to limit printing when feasible. Printing processes and the design of individual printed pieces both impact the environment. However, having materials available online helps reduce our paper use and waste.
- Scoring: Institutions earn 0.25 points for meeting the criteria outlined above.
CSU Channel Islands Summary:
While the class schedule is only available electronically, CI has a limited printing (~2500 copies) of the annual course catalog on recycled paper. The CI course catalog is also available online and DVD, along with the class schedules and directories.
CI does not receive this credit because of the limited printing of course catalogs. To meet the criteria, the catalogs must be offered only in electronic format.
