EchoCI adheres to a certain set of rules when it comes to the naming of files. This doesn't only apply to files that are created within EchoCI, such as new pages, but also to uploaded files, such as Word documents and images.

File names may only contain lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens. All other characters are invalid and may not be used in the name of a file within EchoCI. For example, a file named "About_Us.htm," would need to be renamed because it contains capitalized letters as well as an underscore. An acceptable renaming could be "about-us.htm," eliminating or substituting the previous invalid characters.
