Apply to the University

Complete and application for admission to California State University Channel Islands on www.csumentor.edu. You will need to submit official transcripts from all prior institutions.

Apply for Benefits

We recommend that you begin the process of applying for your VA Education Benefits by completing the online application at http://vabenefits.vba.va.gov/vonapp/main.asp or visit the GI Bill Website at http://www.gibill.va.gov.

Transfer your Benefits

If you are transferring to California State University Channel Islands from another institution, you will need to complete a Request for Change of Program or Place of Training form. This form is also available online at http://vabenefits.vba.va.gov/vonapp/main.asp.

Steps for Certification

In order to receive your benefits, the VA Certifying Official at CSUCI must certify your enrollment. To ensure timely certification, please submit the following documents to the Certifying Official:

• A copy of your Application for VA Benefits or a copy of your Request for Change of Program or Place of Training form.
• A copy of your DD-214 or DD-2384, if applicable.

You must notify the Certifying Official if you have a change in status, such as dropping a course, withdrawing from a course, or changing your program of study as it may affect your benefits.
