Organizational Effectiveness

CI has been challenged by decreased state funding, which has previously been the source of our basic financial structure. We are also a growing university with an increasing body of students, and this has necessitated a renewed focus on organizational efficiencies and a transformation of how we do business. This in turn has impacted CI's staff, and they will need support and resources to nimbly navigate and adapt to these changes while at the same time learning innovative ways of managing their work.

Lean Six Sigma

In the VP for Business & Financial Affairs, we are busily building bridges between the way we’ve always done things and a new way of doing business. With the challenge of doing more with less, and the promise of student growth, business as usual is no longer an option.

To that end, the VP for Business & Financial Affairs has created an organizational effectiveness program. One component of this program is the implementation of LEAN, a model of organizational effectiveness with the mindset of running a continuously improving organization, with a keen eye on our customer.
